So we got a new President?

I woke up today in a fog. Nothing new, just a familiar haze. People in this nation let me know that for as long as they live, a person with my skin color no matter my excellence will always come 2nd place. I was never under the impression that I lived in a post racial society, I merely thought decorum being on the brink was enough to stir common decency amongst the masses. Today we begin a new era in this country. One where the rules of engagement are off the table, and you're a loser until you snatch victory from the jaws of tact. The uncouth got the man they wanted. The disenfranchised white bellyachers got the man they wanted. Me? I just got my morning coffee and an alert on my phone that 1946 has a lot in common with 2016.
